The past few months have been pretty hectic with moving out of a friends house and into my car in February, to receiving a promotion at work resulting in working more hours. Finally though, I’m finding time to keep all my channels updated. I mean, finding time, more like allocating time. I get distracted pretty easily with shiny things and I tend to forget about my end goal. Travelling.
For the first time in about a year, I finally have some surplus cash. It’s a rare occurrence for me and I’ve been planning to save and spend it wisely on tools, experiences and fixtures that will help improve my life living in my car.
Recently, I was able to purchase a Weize 100Ah Lead-Acid Deep Cycle Battery which has helped improve a lot of things around my home. It was pretty simple to attach it to my Renogy 100W 12V Monocrystalline Solar Panel. Now on days when it is really sunny, I can get as much as 8 amp at 12 volts. With the 100Ah battery, it is more than enough to keep my laptop and phone charged, my lights running and to power my SILVEL 12V 8KW Diesel Heater.
My 2013 Kia Soul is finally starting to feel like a home.
